What students & graduates say
"Shell STEP was everything I didn't expect in the best of ways! You get so involved in company life that you completely lose your student label and just become one of the team. It's a fantastic way of getting out of lecture theatres and into the real world and it gives you the chance to really push yourself in new and exciting directions."
Katie Selby, University of Manchester

There is a cost to participate in Shell Step, but one of the big advantages of the programme is that as an employer you won't put the student onto your normal payroll. Part of the service provided by Pennine Lancashire Enterprise is to process the student's weekly allowance on your behalf. This in turn means you won't have any additional administration costs or employer's NI contributions to pay.
